Gone to the dogs...

Nothing is better than a fresh groomed dog right? Cleanly shaved paw pads, the lush fluff of  de-shedded and shampooed fur. The light scent of Black Pepperpod soap wafting from their locks as they prance by. When they are clean and have a beautiful do'  you can bet they know it!

I'm a dog groomer by trade and I have honestly never found a shampoo so luxurious, so moisturizing yet clean, that gives a beautiful fluff like a bar of Weaver's Soap. Granted I may be biased as I am the creator but the proof is in the groom and on your own skin.  What groomer dreads the onset of winter? Well most of us because with winter comes the dried, cracking, bleeding hands. They hurt, they are hard to repair when your hands are constantly in water  and they itch.  With our carefully chosen sustainable and vegan oils your hands will be begging for more.

What is in a bar of Weaver's Soap that is so profound? Well let me pontificate here for a moment.  Coconut Oil, Sustainable Palm Oil,Olive Oil, Canola Oil, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter and Cruelty Free Tussah Silk. All of these oils work so well together creating a nice hard bar that moisturizes, cleans  and lathers like crazy.   This amazing blend has taken me years to achieve the right balance and it really is a workhorse for the groomer.

My picks for grooming is the Black Pepperpod Soap and Lavender Chamomile. The Black Pepperpod is clean, fresh and crisp. Men and women alike love it. It is our #1 seller.
I use this on male dogs as it does lean towards a masculine scent.  The scent holds in the fur for days. Most often a customer will say what did you use??? It smells so good!! The great thing is all of our soaps are human and dog compatible.

My second choice is the Lavender Chamomile. I love this with female dogs or maybe an owner that is scent sensitive.  It leaves a lasting scent for days but not overpowering by any means.

Back to Basics with Soap

I'm working on getting back to basics with soap making. I'm not sure how far this will go. Right now I use mostly fragrance oils in my soap but I also like using essential oils too. There isn't a huge variety to be had with essential oil scents as there is the fragrance oils. The essential oil scents tend to be either earthy or more of a powerful herb/flower scent.  Some girls like their soap scents to be more foo-foo or food-y scented and that's where fragrance oils come in.

I recently had a professional still photographer take pictures of my soaps. Please check out her beautiful and well written blog here: Joan Marie Company I hope you enjoy them.

This is my Cranberry Fig soap made specifically for the Cranberry Festival in Stone Lake, WI. Over 50,000 people attend this event made up of crafters and artisans. This is a sweet yet bitterly sharp fragrance that wins the hearts of many.Cranberry Fig Soap

Lemon Sugar is so clean and refreshing. A definite must for your kitchen. With lots of lather and a creamy moisturizing finish this is sure to win you over. You can find this soap for purchase at Lemon Sugar Soap
